Disable Next Button and Free Navigation Combined

Dec 11, 2018

Hello,

I am looking to adjust the navigation settings of my module. Currently, it is set to have the Next button disabled until the the timeline ends for each slide. The settings for each slide are set to Resume Saved State when revisiting.

I am trying to have restrictions on advancing slides on the initial visit, but when they revisit any slide by clicking the previous button or accessing the menu, I would like to allow Free Navigation and not have the Next Button disabled when revisiting slides and the animation to be completed.

Is this possible in Storyline 2? Thanks!!

Hi Sonya!

In Storyline 2, restricted navigation allows learners to view the current slide and any slide they previously viewed, but they can't use the menu or the Next button to jump ahead or skip over slides.

If you want to disable the next button the first time a slide is visited, you'll want to use variables to keep track of when the slide was viewed. For example, "Change state of Next button to Disabled when timeline starts on the condition that the Slide1 variable is false."
