Disable next button if user fails a test

Nov 22, 2019

Hi there,

It seems simple, but I can't figure it out. I have a results slide. The reset button works. However if the user fails, I need to force him to retake the quiz. But the Next button continues to work for failed test users. How can I disable the Next button (or make them reset and retake the test) when they click Next.

Thanks,

Erin

Hi Erin - I don't know if there's a better way to do this, but I usually just use Triggers. I make one trigger to change the state of the Next button to Hidden when the timeline starts. Then I make one to change the state of the Next button to Normal when the timeline starts if the score is greater than or equal to the passing score. Hope this works!

Hi,
I put a condition on the next button to work only if the user passes at 100; I'm testing it now.

But if you could send a screen shot for the variables, that would help.

I do place the Retake button on the fail layer. So I set a trigger on the fail layer only to disable the next button when the timeline starts on the fail layer? Ah ha! I think I get it. Let me give it a try...

Thanks!
