Disappearing Slides in Preview Mode

Aug 06, 2013

Hi

When I click to preview the "Entire Project" some of my slides that I created are not showing up at all.  No slide at all.  Even though my presentation shows 50 slides, when its going to preview it shows that its preparing 50 slides, but then they are gone.  Any ideas?

Elaina, could it be that you are missing some navigation links between slides and/or scenes? While a trigger on the Next button (or another nav button) to jump to next slide will automatically link to the next slide in a scene, this trigger won't automatically connect an ending and beginning slide between adjacent scenes. You'll need to select the desired "jump to slide" when connecting slides between scenes.

Hi Lu and Ashley

Thanks for the suggestions; however, I am not using multiple scenes.  I have only one scene and there are no triggers on the slides before or the slides themselves (except for the jump to next slide with the NEXT button.  I can't figure it out for the life of me.  Someone else in my company is having the same issue and he had to resolve it by copying that slide and repasting it into the project, which doesn't seem ideal.

Hi Elaina,

You mentioned copy/paste the problem slide into a new project, have you tried to import the whole .story file into a new Storyline presentation? That may resolve the issue and is a bit faster than doing each slide individually. If you'd like us to take a look at your file you can share it here in the forums or send it privately as a Support case to our team.
