Storyline is not reading correctly in LMS

May 05, 2023

When I am publishing my Storyline file into the LMS, as soon as someone starts the courses (1st slide) and you go out of the course it shows they have completed ? even though I have set tracking at needing to view all slides, is there another setting within Storyline that I need to be looking at?  Its not reading my tracking options.

Hi Adam,

it seems unlikely, but if you could check whether a "Complete Course"-trigger has somehow snuck his way onto your first slide, we could rule that out.

Could you try uploading a fresh eLearning with a few empty slides and the same completion conditions to your LMS? Maybe the error lies on the LMS' side within the course settings somewhere.

Hi Adam,

You can check out this article which explains when a Storyline 360 course reports completion to an LMS:

Try reviewing the tracking options that you have specified for your course to see if any of the criteria are being met as soon as the learner loads the first slide. You can also try testing your course in a different LMS to see if this is an issue that is specific to the LMS you're using.

If changing the tracking options in your course  doesn't help, would you be willing to share a copy of your project file here or in private by opening a support case so we can take a look at your course? We'll delete it when we're done testing!
