Document in RESOURCES won't open in SL360

I attached a basic pdf to the RESOURCES in my SL360 project. When I publish it, it shows up in the RESOURCES, but when I click on it I get the error message "We can't open this file - Something went wrong."

I have searched the forums and have tried everything... changed the name, taken punctuation out of the name, shortened the name, and made sure it is stored in the same folder as the story file... nothing is working. It seems like this has been a problem for YEARS. Please advise.

I am still waiting for a response for this question for several months. When publishing there is no longer an "external " folder. I had to make my resource file as part of the document to avoid the glit he.

I am shocked that this has been a problem for so long... I went back YEARS in the forums. Hopefully, there is now an easy fix for this OR the glitch is resolved and I am overlooking something. So, we wait for a response. :)
