Drag & Drop Question - How to snap back incorrect items to a defined point?

Hi,
I’m using Storyline 360 to create a custom drag & drop interaction.
Thereby the user has to assign cards with examples to the correct of two drop targets.
The cards are placed in a stack so that the user doesn’t see the next card until the previous one has been dropped.
Now I don’t want to return the items to their start point if they are dropped outside the right drop target but to a defined point in the background.
The user should not see in the first place that he matched something wrong but when he matched all the other examples the wrong one reappears without clicking Submit or Try again.
So my question is:
• Can I return a draggable object to a defined point if it’s dropped outside the right drop target?
Thanks!
Jana

Hi, Jana.
Thank you for reaching out!
I am looking forward to what others in the community will suggest, but in the meantime, here's one way that might work for you:
This is what it would look like:
I hope this helps!
Hi Maria,
Thanks for your feedback.
Working with motion paths is a good idea in principle.
But is there any option to let a motion path end in the background and not on the same level the object started?
Since my cards are placed in a stack, it would be nice if the cards that are mismatched are moving behind the rest of the cards in the stack and don't end up right on top.
Hi, Jana.
I'm not aware of a way to use the motion path to move the arrangement/order of objects. However, thinking of it as a regular deck of cards, if you move the top card to another position, then another card on top of that one, the order should maintain.
