Edit Resume Slide Content

May 29, 2014

Hi!

So I have been trying to edit my resume slide content for a course, more specifically the Yes and No buttons. The resume slide is in Arabic and so I have been to the Player --> Text Labels to check and possibly edit the content from there, but the yes and no buttons are correctly translated in the Player but do not show as such on the slide. I was wondering if there was a way for me to either edit the Resume slide "manually", as in have the slide appear and edit the content directly on it?

If there is any other means for me to do this I would greatly appreciate it, as I have tried to fix this issue for a while now.

With best regards,

Hi Alexandre and welcome to Heroes!

The "resume prompt" window is not a layer or slide that can be edited, but is controlled by the Player labels. You mentioned that you've correctly translated them within the player text labels - but what shows up on your resume prompt? Are they still in English or just not there at all? It may help if we're able to take a look at your .story file.

Hi Ashley!

Thank you so much for your prompt response!

In the player the words are correctly translated in Arabic but in the "resume prompt" window different jumbled characters appear. I am definitely able to send a story. file for one of the units (as all units have the same issue). I have attached one (hoping it's the right one).

Let me know if you need anything else!

Hi Alexandre,

I've actually seen an issue where they're squished (technical term) together within the resume prompt window - and it sounds like that is what you're experiencing, not that they're missing all together. This has been reported to our QA team for review, although I don't have any additional information to share at this time. I'll add this thread to the existing report so that they're aware of another user who has experienced it, and if you have a chance to attach the .story file - which is the file prior to publishing - I can include that as well for another example.

Hi Ashley!

I think the squished issue is exactly what I'm experiencing. I've tried to attach the file to no avail, might it be too large of a file for that? Let me know if there's any other way I can share it with you. Again many thanks for your assistance!

Let me know if you need any additional information.
