Email address not populating properly

I have somehow an unique email address and it was cut off when it loaded to Outlook. The email address is something like "sales&". When user clicks on the link, it will only load "sales" in the Outlook instead of "sales&". I am assuming this was caused by the "&". Any suggestions on how to get around this. Thank you in advance.
