I'm not able to replicate the behavior you're describing (mine just opens an email window), I use Google Chrome. Can you tell me a bit more about how you're viewing your published content?
Hi Ashley i have attached a file, Its works good in mozila firefox but not working in ie9. When the hotspot is clicked in the ie 9, the course gets closed

I checked on IE9 with scorm 1.2

Thanks for sharing - I tried this in Chrome, IE10, and Firefox and all opened successfully. The email trigger is dependent on the user's browser and email settings, so you may want to encourage them to use a browser in which it performs as you desire.
