I added .mp4 videos in Storyline. I have already converted the video in .mp4 format so that it can play in iPad. But when I published it using Storyline, size of that video was very small, and it was working perfectly in iPad. but when I inserted .mp4 video directly in published version of Storyline, it didn't work. so I want to know whether encoding method used in Storyline is different than other video converter tool.
In short, yes Have a look at this article to learn more about Storyline's compression awesomeness. And here's how Storyline encodes movies you insert into your courses, based on the file format of your videos and the publishing options you choose.

thanks peter for the info. encoding is quite interesting. for 2 mb of .mp4 video it just took 500 kb.
