I do not believe we can as of yet, upload from Google slides, so I save the slides I need as a PowerPoint. When I try to upload that into SL 360, I get an "An error occurred while PowerPoint was saving the file" message.
I'm happy to help! I've just tried this on my end, downloading a Google Slides presentation as .pptx and importing it into Storyline 360, and I didn't come across any error messages. Are you opening the .pptx in PowerPoint first before importing it into Storyline 360?
I'd also recommend trying to import the .pptx file into a new Storyline 360 project.
I was able to take a look and unfortunately ran into the same issue, even after a bit of troubleshooting.
