Exit animation auto playing on first activation bug
Mar 02, 2016
Right, bear with me here. Basically I have a slide (number 2 in attached) where the user will select an answer from a drop down menu and then a tick or cross will come in to say right or wrong. Simple enough. But I'm having an issue where the first tick/cross to display will automatically exit the first time it shows, after that it's fine and the icons will stay properly. I can rectify it by just taking out the exit animation but I'd rather not as it's just a quick fade to smooth the transition and looks better in my opinion and I'd rather not hand it in with this little bug in it. Is there anything I can do to make sure it works properly. It's not consistent though, it will do it maybe 90% of the time.
steps to replicate
1)preview slide 1.2.
2)select any answer from any question, the feedback mark should appear then will probably fade out after a second or two. If not hit replay and try again.
3)select same answer again and the mark will stay until either new answer selected or user hits reset, as intended.
Any help in narrowing down what is causing this behaviour would be much appreciated.
Cheers

Hi Bruce
The problem is that the object is visible so the timeline end animation will play in 5 seconds (end of your timeline). Two fixes either drag the abject so it only exists for 0.25 seconds on the timeline or set the initial state to hidden (this is the better option)
Actually second option doesnt work right, set them to hidden and set time on timeline to between 0.25-0.5
Will give that a go, ta
Well, I don't quite understand how but that definitely seems to have sorted it. Thanks very much.
