Exit button doesn't work

Hi all
I have created a course where on the final slide i have an exit button with the trigger exit when the user clicks and a restart button with the trigger restart when the user clicks. The restart button works fine but nothing is happening when the user presses the exit button. I am getting this problem both in IE and in Chrome.
I have tried selecting the 'launch player in new window' box in the player option as i saw someone gave this advice on a similar question asked on here but the exit button still doesnt work as it should.
Does anyone have an idea on how to fix this? Any help would be much apreciated!

We've run into this problem sporadically across all browsers. I feel like there are just too many variables as far as browser settings to effectively troubleshoot it for our entire user base.
Rather than using a course exit button we generally instruct our users to exit the course using their browser's exit button.
