I made a multiple choice question with feedback layers by choice. The user has two attempts to answer the question before going to the next one. That's why I want to create different feedback layers for the first attempt (try again) and the second atempt (go to the next question), but I want two different feedback layers for each choice. When I select the feedback by choice option, I can't use a standard try again layer. Does anyone has a suggestion to make this? Thanks!
Are you using Storyline 2 or Storyline 1? This example is with Storyline 2, as when you initially set up the feedback by choice in Form view, you can only choose the branching slides of next or previous - but once viewing the course in slide view you can adjust the triggers associated with the individual feedback layers and set it to "jump to slide this slide" and allow the user to try again.
Thanks for your answer. I have already tried to adjust the triggers and have made a variable for attempt count = 1 or attempt count is = 2, but I want the feedback layers to show up after the user has clicked the submit button. So the user clicks the submit button, than the feedback layer will show up, the user clicks continue (to go to the next slide) or try again (to submit the answer again). Do you know a way to make this possible? Thanks!
Do you want to share what you've already set up in terms of tracking attempts? To have the variable work, it'll need to be the trigger before the jump to slide trigger on the feedback layers, as triggers will be executed from the top of the list down as described here.
Thanks for your explanation. The problem is, I have multiple triggers on different objects. I want the player trigger 'submit interaction' to be the first on the list, but I can't change the order of the triggers. You can find my file in the attachment. The case is slide 1.39, the multiple choice question. Thanks in advance.
You don't need to move the submit button - as it'll work as it is set up based on the link i shared explaining trigger order. I see you have referenced a variable in terms of which slide layer to show - but I don't see where you're setting that variable value(typically on the feedback layer where the user is prompted to try again) - and that you've also set it up to show particular feedback by choice, and there is one radio button that is set to show the correct layer once the user clicks on it, and that radio buttons 1 and 4 are set to show the same layers with the same conditions - so I'm a bit confused in terms of what you'd like to happen as it appears as if there is more than one thing you've got going on here?
Buttons 1 and 4 are set to show different layers. Button 1 is set to show layer 'raam openzetten 1' if attempt count is equal to one and show layer 'raam openzetten 1' if attempt count is equal to or greater than 2. Button 4 is set to show layer 'koolmonixide 1' if attempt count is equal to one and show 'koolmonoxide 2' if attempt count is equal to or greater than 2. Button 1 and button 4 are both the wrong answers, but the layers give feedback by choice. When the user has chose the wrong answer for the second time, he will see the feedback layer for this choice and is forced to go to the next page when he clicks the 'continue' button. Only button 3 is the correct answer, so when the user clicks button 3 he will see the feedback layer for the correct answer and goes to the next page automatically when he clicks the 'continue' button.
I am experiencing the same problem with a quiz I'm creating right now; I need to have unique feedback content for each attempt and each possible answer. I'm curious if you ever figured out how to do this?

Ignore that it's a very simple example. :-)

Hi Caryn
did you want to upload your story file - easier for someone to help you if they can see your setup
Here is a quiz with 6 right answers out of 9 possibilities. There is specific feedback for each wrong answer.
Maybe this will give you some ideas that will work for what you are doing.
