Flash/HTML5 (Flash Not Present on Computers)
Oct 07, 2014
Hi Experts!
I am trying to figure out Flash/HTML5 publishing and what happens when the course is launched on various devices with various scenarios. Any heroes out there with any thoughts on this?
PUBLISH SETTINGS
TINCAN API
Include HTML5 Output
Use mobile player
AUTO-DETECTION QUESTION
If Storyline detects iOS, it launches HTML5
If it doesn't detect iOS, it launches FLASH
Is this true?
What is being launched on computers that do not have flash? It still launches, but there are numerous problems including navigation bar text getting very, very small and restricted navigation not being restricted. Do we just need to tell computer users that FLASH is a requirement? help!
Thanks in advance for any thoughts at all or any existing information I could study!

Note!! This is currently Storyline 1. Any guesses as to what, if anything, will happen when I start publishing in Storyline 2?
Thanks again!
Keith
Hi Keith,
Do you know what browsers the users are accessing it in when not using Flash? You'll want to be sure they're using one of the supported HTML5 browser, or else the content may not display correctly. Storyline 2 has some different supported browsers here.
Also, in regards to how Storyline determines which version to show them, you'll see that information detailed here.
