Focus in Player Menu (Slide with delete heading)

Hello,
I am working new with Storyline 2, Update 11.
I do not want to see all slides in the menu.
For that I have delete the heading in the Player Properties.
chapter 1
- chapter 1.1
- chapter 1.2
-- chapter 1.2.1 (deleted)
-- chapter 1.2.2 (deleted)
- chapter 1.3
-- chapter 1.3.1
-- chapter 1.3.2
Flash:
If the learner open a slide, this slide is blue-marked in the menu.
If the learner open a deleted slide (e.g. 1.2.1) nothing is blue-marked.
HTML5:
If the learner open a slide, this slide is blue-marked in the menu.
If the learner open a deleted slide (e.g. 1.2.1) the scene is blue-marked.
I want to have in both publishing:
If I have a deleted slide (e.g. 1.2.1), the superior slide is blue marked (e.g. 1.2).
Has anybody an idea how to solve?

Hello Daniela,
I tried replicating your menu here - does this match your description?
I am not aware of a way to keep the focus on the previous slide (focus stays on Slide 1.2 when visiting Slides 1.2.1 and 1.2.2) , since those two slides have been deleted from the menu outline. Perhaps someone who has used a similar menu configuration can chime in and share a workaround!
The only way I can think of to override that is to build a custom menu. I've done it before using a lightbox if you want something that doesn't cover the entire screen you need to use a layer but you would have to put it in a master slide.
