Fomatting Word Bank questions disappears - bug?

Hi,

I'm creating a long set of exercises making extensive use of the word bank style drag and drop questions.

I'd like to make both the options and the box to drop them on a little more visually distinct for visually impaired learners. I haven't been able to change colours or outline as it seems to only affect the squared off rectangle around the rounded item itself. I have been able to apply shadows, which look quite nice.

However, none of these formatting changes show up at all when previewed!

I can't share the file as it contains proprietary information, but I can screenshot the relevant parts.

Is this a bug? If not, how can I make these elements more visually distinct?

Part of the limitation of form based questions is that we cannot fully customize everything. You will notice, for example, that when you hover over your options in the word bank, there are what seem to be hover states, but if you go to states, there is not an option for editing those states.

You could draw a separate rounded rectangle and place it behind the drop target to simulate a show of some sort.

FYI - you edit the hover color of your drag items by editing the Color Theme>Custom 2
