I receive the message below despite having Font Awesome installed. The Storyline file has Font Awesome Icons as buttons. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling both and continue to have the same issue. Any ideas?
Hello Kristopher, and welcome to E-Learning Heroes! ⭐️
I want our Support Engineers to work with you directly, so I've opened a case on your behalf. One of my teammates will reach out shortly with the next step.
I'll be following along as I'm curious to see what is causing the snag!
I am getting the same message while using the trial version while I wait for Storyline 360 to be installed . I cannot install new fonts where I work. If I use Storyline icons, will this always be a problem?
Do you have the installer for the "Font Awesome" font? You may be getting that error as the font you've installed is not the correct/same font used in the Storyline file itself. Fonts can have different formats (eg. can be TTF, OTF). Even though they are the same font in name, the fonts may differ in format, causing that error to pop up.
The best way to test is to install the same "FontAwesome" font that was used when creating the original Storyline course.
I have the same problem with the font message as Kristopher, despite having loaded the missing fonts. Has there been a solution from the Support team? My colleague has the exact same font settings as I do and she has no problem seeing the correct icons etc. and she does not get the message when opening the same Storyline file.
Unfortunately, we didn't receive a response from Kristopher, so I do not have an update to share.
Do you still receive this error after a uninstall/reinstall of the font? I'm curious if there's a chance you installed a different font family or format. Can you get the font installer your colleague used to install the font?
