Font/Layout not matching user's view in certain browser

Sep 21, 2018

Hello all,

I have a course that is currently being tested by a select group of users before being published on our eLearning site.  One user reported that some of the Greek symbols we use throughout the slides are being replaced by regular English letters.  He added that this was only happening in Google Chrome and Internet Explorer seemed to be working fine.  Upon further inspection of his screenshots, I saw that there is an added issue where all of his text is being registered as a different font than the one we have chosen for this course.

I read through posts here that converting to "Modern text" might do the trick but unfortunately he reported the same errors after I updated the course.  Has anyone experienced something similar to this?  Does he potentially have a setting overriding the course's fonts?

Screenshots for his view versus the correct view are attached via PDF
*There are examples in the screenshots of the Greek letters working correctly, this is because it is pasted into the software as an image and not actual text.
*Font for Greek symbols in Storyline - "Symbol"
*We both have the most up-to-date version of Chrome and I have the most updated version of Storyline 3.

Thank you for any help!

Hi David!

Thanks for reaching out and including those screenshots. I've heard of the "Symbol" font causing issues for folks in the past -- have you tried any other fonts to see if there's an improvement?
