I think this has been discussed before, but I can't find the previous thread. Is there any way to force my course to open in IE11 instead of MS Edge, without making a change in Windows itself?
I don't think there is an option within Storyline to assign a particular browser to be used. This depends on the default browser assigned to the platform or OS you're currently using. The same rule applies for other application within Windows hyperlinks and web contents are managed by the browser and its settings.
If we want to use IE11 we need to set it as the default browser within Windows.
However, there may be some tricks in assigning browser to specific files or links but a lot of work will be needed and may not work correctly depending on the situation.
Our issue was that videos from a particular provider would not play in Edge, so we did some browser detection and sent Edge users a video hosted on a different platform. As far as I know there is no way to control which browser opens on the client's computer.

Joseph, thanks for the reply. We found a workaround.
Hi Michael,
That's wonderful! Glad you were able to get it to work.
Hello Michael, what was your workaround?
Our issue was that videos from a particular provider would not play in Edge, so we did some browser detection and sent Edge users a video hosted on a different platform. As far as I know there is no way to control which browser opens on the client's computer.
Thanks for the update, Michael!
