Form post to outside server

I am working with our IT department and they are inquiring about whether Storyline can pass a hidden Form variable from within Storyline to an external form on our server. 

Currently, we use a URL that when clicked, documents that the user completed the training, however we would like to see if there can be a link built between Storyline and our outside server.

Any help would be appreciated.
