ghost audio in text entry layer

Jan 21, 2014

Hi

I seem to have a previous recording coming in underneath my narrrators recording. It is a previous voice recording I made in a text entry slide to rehearse the recording before the narrator actor came in. I erased my voice and recorded hers but in playback my voice is played back through the text entry.

How do I get rid of it?

Hi Mikki,

Sorry to hear about the ghost - hopefully we can get it removed for you :)

First, please make sure that you're working with local project files.

  • Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior.
  • You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names (this includes spaces and underscores).

Additional information regarding "Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces" in Windows operating systems can be found in the following Microsoft article.

If you are working locally, it may be an issue with the project file itself. Please try importing your current project into a new, blank project file.

Importing from Another Storyline Project - E-Learning Heroes

If that doesn't help, and the file isn't too large, you can try attaching your .STORY file to this thread. I'd be happy to take a look and see if I can find the problem audio file.

Thanks!
