GIFs cause Uncompiled Actionscript warning in iOS?

Mar 24, 2017

Hi all,

I've just started experimenting with using gifs in modules, and I've made some gifs in Photoshop which play perfectly when viewed in a Storyline module on a computer (and in the Safari browser on an iPhone), but in the Articulate Player app on my iPad Pro, I'm getting an error about uncompiled Actionscript.

Is there a workaround for this or should I be instructing learners to be sure that they only view the module in their browser as opposed to the Articulate app?

The gifs are just numbers which count up to an end statistic, so they are fairly uncomplicated files. The gifs are supposed to only play once then stop on the last frame and stay like that, which they do when viewed in a browser, but in the iPad app the gifs loop.

I'm using Storyline 2.

Your assistance is appreciated!

Thanks,
