I have a course that needs about 100 buttons. The graphic artist I'm working with supplied shapes (not created in Storyline) for those and I was dumb and duplicated the shapes, neglecting to turn them into buttons. Now I have 100 shapes.
Do I need to go back and change each shape to a button or create button states for each shape? Or is there a way to globally replace all shapes to similar-looking buttons with built-in states?
Thanks Michael! There are seven button groups, each based on a different color. Sounds like I need to edit the state of one button for each color and then paste those. Yes?

You could set up one button and then use the Format Painter tool to apply this button's states on the other shapes.

Yup, what Michael said should work just fine, or format one the way you want then copy & paste throughout. I like the Format Paint tool idea more.
FYI: For anyone that may be confused.
Buttons are shapes, and the built-in shapes are available for all shapes.
Carol's problem is that she duplicated her buttons before she added the states to the first one.
Yup! I was in a hurry. Lesson learned!
The format painter has been great and I solved the problem quickly.
Thanks everyone!
