Hello, I would like to ask, if there are any settings needed to have the hand cursor appear on images set as buttons on Storyline 2. The problem exist when I updated the Chrome browser from version 58 to 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build)...
The hand cursor are actually working on other browsers. I attached two videos, one captured when using Edge and the other one when using Chrome.
I have a number of "post-it note" images, initial state set to hidden, then as each post-it note is completed, the next becomes visible and the previous (already viewed post-it note) becomes disabled.
The post-it notes are in a button set, each image has a normal and disabled state. Each trigger jumps to another slide. The post-it notes are images but a text box has been added in the normal state.
In preview the cursor does change to the hand when over the image but not when I have it loaded on the server and am running the html5 version (not using the flash version).
In previous etutorials which we still have in flash and have used images as buttons, the cursor does seem to change to the hand when the cursor moves over.
Any ideas what could be happening or how to fix it?
We do have some reports filed with our team related to both images and grouped objects with the cursor not changing to a hand when viewing the HTML5 content.
If you are utilizing Storyline 2, like I'm assuming, your preview is of the Flash content and that is why you are seeing different results.
The only workaround we have listed is to add a hotspot over the items so that the cursor changes as expected.
Sorry for a late reply. With regards to the button, it is an inserted image and I added states to and trigger to go to a certain slide. The course was upload to LMS, and base to Leslie's reply, I found that maybe it is viewed as HTML5 content that's why the hand cursor is not appearing as it is expected unlike have it as flash. In Chrome, it will load the story_html5.html, the story.html wont load in chrome.
Thanks guys for a quick response. It was a big help.
Ashley, has there been a fix to this published-file HTML5 button issue where the cursor doesn't change? We're still using Storyline 2 - has this issue been fixed in Storyline 3/360? I tried the item.stategroup CSS fix, but I use many slide objects besides buttons that have various states, so this isn't a viable fix for me.

Hi there, Jed. Thanks for the helpful videos. I'd like to get a little more detail from you, if you don't mind.
story.html
orstory_html5.html
in Chrome, specifically? I'm curious if you're seeing this behavior in HTML5 output versus Flash. That information will help me figure out some next steps. Thanks!

We are currently pilot testing this tutorial - you can see it here https://www.keele.ac.uk/hltutorials/informationskills/checkyourskills/story_html5.html (you need to step thru some slides until you come to the noticeboard/desk slide)

Hi Mark,
This issue is not reported for Storyline 3 or Storyline 360. It was tested when this report was filed.
Are you using a picture as the hover state as well and viewing the issue in the HTML5 output?
