I've been trying to get my storyline project to play on my iPad. I published it to html_5 and I uploaded it to my website. When I go to that page, the "loading dial" seems to be working in the center of the screen, but the story never comes up. It works fine when I access it from my laptop. http://chemin10.com/mobile-test
I'm going to piggyback on Melanie's post because I'm having the same problem. I rebuilt the entire module using the 1.0 Storyline release after beta testing two previous versions and it still doesn't play on iPad.
Is it possible that you are uploading the courses via FTP without setting the transfer type to Binary? It could be corrupted XML files causing the problem.

I am uploading my courses to Amazon S3, and posting them within an iframe in wordpress.
Melanie, I tried yours on an iPad... I think the problem is that the original page is using an iframe to embed the page containing the actual storyline project.
The first link doesn't work for me either on an iPad, but the second link does. So I think the problem is related to iframe embedding. Could you just provide a link to the second address instead of trying to embed it with an iframe?
Mona, the first slide of your project includes an embedded video using the JWPlayer to play back the video, which is cool, but I'm betting is also the problem. Could that video be imported directly into Storyline?

How would I embed the story into wordpress without doing it within an iframe?

The video is actually a web object streamed via Amazons3, not embedded. Could you help me understand why it might be the problem? I'm also going to share these posts with a colleague who knows ALOT more about this than I do! Thanks for your reply.
Yeah, I know it is nice to embed. Unfortunately in the current version of Mobile Safari we have today I'm betting it is too much to ask of it to use an iframe to embed a storyline project, but someone may prove me wrong.

Web objects are really just embedded web pages. To troubleshoot (and maybe come up with an alternate solution) I think I would try to not go the web object route and instead import the video directly into the Storyline project. Either that or make sure that the web page the web object is based on will run on an iPad. You can get jwplayer to work on an iPad, but you have to do it a certain way so that it doesn't try to use the Flash player.
When I pulled up that page on an iPad it did display (I was assuming it would not), so it looks like my theory that it was a problem with that video was wrong.
In theory you could copy/paste the story.html contents on the wordpress article and make all necessary path adjustments to the pasted code to reflect those changes (i.e.set correct paths to .js and .html pages mentioned in your story.html code).
Also you have to make sure that code is not stripped automatically once you save the article.
It's tedious and a lot of work when it really shouldn't be, but welcome to the world of "Content Management Systems" ...
I removed the video from the opening slide and published it. HTML5 still does not work. Is there any way I can submit the .story file for the project and have it looked at more deeply to try to figure this out? I've published the 2nd module for the course and HTML5 is not an issue w/ it.
However, i noticed that the link you posted is the HTML file - not the html5 file. Shouldn't it be the HTML5 story file i.e. ....Overview_061412_SL output/story_html5.html
Can you let us all know what the issue is. I now have four courses that worked fine before at some state of publishing but I realized yesterday that the files broke at some point and HTML5 no longer works - but the regular story.html file works fine. I have no idea what the difference is between courses that do work and courses that do not work. There isn't anything crazy or abnormal in any of the courses.
Definitely, Dave. I'll follow up here, and I'd also encourage you to submit a separate ticket for your own experience. We'd be really curious to take a closer look at your issue. Thanks!
Can anyone that doesn't work for Articulate provide any guidance please? This is really a problem and I'm not getting any valid support on this issue from the case I submitted.

Make sure your broswer, safari(?), is not set to private browsing. You won't be able to view courses w/ that on.
@Melanie, i tried your link on the desktop and got a blackhole exploit warning.... Can't get it to load on ipad either..
@Mona, actually, i can't view yours either. You might try uploading it to http://tempshare.articulate.com/ and see if it works.

Bill, what is a blackhole exploit warning? Sounds a little scary...

I didn't mean to submit a verified answer. Learning the forum, sorry. problem NOT solved.

Acids and Bases
I understand. But I'd much prefer to embed.

never mind. when I change your URL to:
http://www.berproducts.org/articulate/testcourse/Module%20One%20Creating%20A%20Productive%20Learning%20Environment%20%286-20%29/story_html5.html
it still doesn't play.
Hi, thanks for the file, Mona. Wanted to let you know we got it and are currently testing it. Thanks for your patience.
