Help with creating computer lock screen within course

Dec 29, 2012

I have looked through the forums with no luck.

I am trying to create a computer lock/log in simulation as part of a office training scenario. I am not sure if using a screen recording is the best way, since prompting the user to press "ctrl, alt, delete" will bring up their real lock screen. Has anyone else had any luck or ideas on how to tackle this.

The idea behind this is to prompt the user to log off every time they leave their desk within the simulation/course.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Cameron and welcome to Heroes!

You could display an alt-ctrl-del image somewhere on screen (or if you want to get real fancy, you could present a virtual keyboard) and pressing that would result in locking the screen (in a new slide.or layer).

This also may work in situations where the learner needs to press function keys (browser takes precedence).

Hope it helps,
Alex
