I created a slide layer with a video and I do not want the user to close the layer/move to the next slide if he/she has not watched the video in its entirety.

A couple of ways you could do it:
overlay a transparent shape (shape with fill set to 100% transparency not No fill) that stops them from clicking on it - then set the Next button to advance automatically when media completes on video or
set a trigger to disable the Next button when timeline starts and another trigger to change state of Next button to normal when media completes on the video file.
