So I'm looking for a way that users can't proceed in my course before they have submitted an answer to a quiz question. I succeeded in doing so by hiding the 'next button' when the timeline starts and changing it to 'normal' after the user clicks on 'submit button'. That works perfectly, only one problem: when the user revisits the page, the next button is gone again. I found an option saying 'When revisiting: Resume saved state' but that's not doing the trick.
I really want users to move forward and backwards through the course easy, but don't want them to move forward unless they answered the quiz question.
you shouldn't need the Next trigger. If you answer a quiz question and then move on, when you return to it the Prev/Next buttons should automatically show.
See attached SL2 sample - hope I've understood your question

Thanks Wendy, I'm gonna have a look at it!
Kind regards,
