Hotspot Inconsistency

I created a training module using Storyline 3 for our LMS that includes some hotspots. They seem to work about 95% of the time. However, 5% of the time we have users who will click on the hotspot in the LMS module and nothing happens. If we replace the hotspot with a standard button or shape that we turn into a button, it works fine for those users as well. My question is, is there any reason why a hotspot would not work in an LMS Storyline module for some users?

Thanks for reaching out and letting us know what your users are experiencing. I know issues that are difficult to replicate are tough to track down.

  • Are the same users able to consistently reproduce the problem?
  • Is there a similar environment/browser that they are working in?
  • Are they able to replicate in SCORM Cloud as well or only within your LMS?
