Locked navigaiton issues with LMS

Nov 19, 2013

It seems we are having issues with some users on our LMS in completing the navigation of a storyline module.  The course has a main menu page and requires learners to complete each section in order.  The button for the first section is unlocked, and the other buttons are set to a state where they can't be clicked.  Once a learner hits the last page of a section/scene, on that last slide a variable is set to true, which cases the state of the button for the next section to be changed to one that makes it clickable.

Again, this is not happening for all users, just some, and I hope I described it well enough for you to help.

Amy ideas?

Hi Gordon,

So, there are particular users who are not able to continue as the state of the button isn't changing? Not knowing how you're users are accessing the course (browser type, flash version, etc.) I'll  speak specifically to the HTML5 issue, and point you to this earlier thread where conditions added to a variable trigger caused some issues within the HTML5 output.

Could you tell us a bit more about what is happening for the users who are unable to click on the buttons? Does it stop after a particular button or is it all the time? What browser are they using to view the course?
