I was attempting to put a hotspot in a scrolling panel and noticed the hotspot does not remain stationary. I'm needing it to following the content as you scroll up and down. I tried looking through the tutorials and found my way back to the community forums. Wasn't even sure if this is possible or not.
If anyone could help me out I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
Placing objects into a scrolling panel and positioning them can be tricky but it does work. See a quick example here that includes hyperlinks and hotspots in a scrolling panel: http://dev.keypointlearn.com/xcl71_SL/HSinSP/story.html. Are you sure the hotspot is actually inside the scrolling panel?
Yes, I just played around for a minute and it is in my scrolling panel but I'm having trouble freezing that hotspot. Your example verifies that it's possible I just don't know how.
Try dragging everything back outside as a unit, release, then reselect and drag all of the elements back into the scrolling object. It sounds like the hotspot didn't register as contained.
Good point Steve. I too noticed that sometimes you have to drag elements into the scrolling panel a couple of times for them to really 'take'. Also, the positioning of elements inside a scrolling panel is sometimes requires a few tries.
Derek, good to hear you found a solution. I still wonder what I did differently to combine hotspots and text in a scrolling panel. But then again, whatever works for you
