I have a sub-layer appearing on the base layer. It is dimmed, so when it is previewed it does not appear. But, I want to only view what I have on the base layer, for editing purposes. Any suggestions?
Afraid I'm not completely following what you're wanting to do here.
Are you just not wanting to see the layer when you're working in the base layer itself? If you select the base layer on the right-hand side of the screen, you shouldn't see any content from a layer.
Now, if you're still seeing content you may want to make sure the Show/Hide eye is "closed" for the layer - you can change this by clicking on the eye icon for the layer.
