I am working on a project in which I want to convert my storyline file into a mp4 video. I know when we publish it, we get the html file which we can run in the browser. But I don't want it to be like this.
The published storyline files are dynamic. That means the user can interact with them and different things can happen. If you convert it to a mp4, then it becomes static. that means the user loses any opportunity to interact with it.
If that is what you want, you can preview the story and use a screen capturing software that will save it as mp4.
Thanks for the reply but I want to convert it to a mp4 without losing the interactivity. Below is the attachment . I hope you will come to know what I realy want.
Walt is correct. If you convert this to an mp4, then that interaction of the 'Click Here' will not exist for your user.
You could certainly screen record you performing this activity of course, but if you want the learner to have the interactivity you would need to publish and share as shown here.
Is Replay free with a Storyline 2 license as well? I sent an e-mail regarding this subject anyway but this response could arrive quicker and save time.
Replay is a separate screen recording application that comes with Storyline. It allows you to set what part of the screen to record. Then run the project and it will be recorded. If you press space while recording, it will pause the recording.
For me I think the fact that Storyline cannot be converted to MP4 is a limitation, sometimes we want something instructional rather that interactive...you guys need to do something about that so we can have variety, using a capturing software diminishes the image quality...

Hey Jehoshaphat- I can definitely see why that option would be useful to you, and I've seen this topic come up before here.
As you know, currently Articulate Storyline publishes a collection of files for each course. This allows the content to progressively download elements which means your content will have faster download and playback times.
I've relayed your thoughts to our team as a feature request. Thanks again for sharing why that option would be helpful to you. The more input, the better!
Hi there AJ- Thanks for weighing in here too! I also wanted to let you know that when you reply via email, your signature is included in the thread.
You're welcome to pop in here and edit that info out, if desired. ☺️
Thanks for reaching out! Replay 360 is only included as part of our Articulate 360 suite. Feel free to trial Articulate 360 for 30 days and get the ability to use Replay!

Hi Priyanka!
I've seen utilize Walt's suggestion as well by recording the course with a second instance of Storyline or you could also use Replay, which is free with a Storyline license.

Hi Erez!
Looks like you reached out to our team and Ann is assisting you.
If you purchased Storyline 2 as a new license, Replay was included.
Just reply to the e-mail from Ann if you need further assistance with getting that going.
Hi Priyanka Sharma,
I hope! you may not get the exact output what you accepted. If you get it Please share with also Thank You!
Are there step by step instructions for doing this with Storyline 2.
My Storyline file isn't interactive and it needs to be converted into just a regular video that the public can view online.
Where is the Replay function located on Storyline 2?
Replay is a separate screen recording application that comes with Storyline. It allows you to set what part of the screen to record. Then run the project and it will be recorded. If you press space while recording, it will pause the recording.
How do I access the Replay screen recording application?
I downloaded mine when I downloaded StoryLine. When I installed it, I put a shortcut on my desktop.
If you didn't download it yet, contact Articulate sales.

Hi Leslie,
Please can I be pointed in the right direction - I have a storyline 3 license and would like to use replay, was it included?
David

We also have an older version of Replay you may want to check out here and see if that fits your needs. It does not come with Storyline 3 and is a separate license.
