I'm currently preparing my module to work offline on my pc.
However, the only thing that troubles me is the file links. I cannot open my files locally. As you can from the picture below, the address placed in the file directory is where i put my pdf file. After i publish the module, I cannot open this file locally (cut off internet) upon clicking, but it works on the website with the right address (" ./syllubus.pdf ").
I need this "jump to URL/File" to work offline....it is urgent..
Did you get this to work? I'm also trying to get a PDF to open in SL. I've followed the steps above (at least I think I have!), but I can't get the PDF to open in the published file. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Eddie,
1. Copy the pdf-file(s) where your.story resides
2. Enter the file location, without any path
3. Publish your project
4. Copy your pdf-file(s) into the directory of your Story.html file
This should work.

Hi Geert,
Thanks for your reply. Please take a look at the picture below. Is this how you would want me to do?
I pasted syllabus.pdf in the folder where .story resides, published it, but it didn't work. I clicked on the hotspot, nothing popped out.
Am i missing any steps?
Thanks again.
Hi Eddie
Yep is like that
1. Make sure that yopur pdf is where your .storyline source file is
2. Link the file to your button (like you did)
3. After you published your course, do not forget to copy your PDF file where the story.html file resides
I hope it works

Hmmm... odd !
It happened to me once before, but that was in Articulate Presenter.
My browser considered the PDF as a popup window, so I had to allow popups.
In addition the security settings for flash on my computer were not correctly set, here's the link to check it
Cheers
