HTML output not playing

Jul 06, 2015

Hello!

I have published a sample of some before and after designs with the intentions of hosting it on the web and not on an LMS. I have followed the instructions about how to publish this content (https://community.articulate.com/series/articulate-storyline-1/articles/publishing-a-project-for-web) and how to share via Google Drive (https://community.articulate.com/articles/how-to-share-your-e-learning-course-for-free-with-google-drive). Neither options worked for me and I have tested it across IE, Firefox, and Chrome.

I can play the file locally, I also have an earlier published SCORM version that I tested through SCORM Cloud and that plays, but I can not get the course to open when I upload it to my web server or to my Google drive. On Google Drive I get a Whoops! There was a problem previewing this document message.

I'd love to hear what has worked successfully for those who host HTML output courses!

I gave up on Google Drive and my own web server after reading Tom's post: http://blogs.articulate.com/rapid-elearning/5-easy-ways-share-e-learning-courses/

I created an Amazon S3 account (which definitely took time to navigate the interface) created a bucket, made it public, and then uploaded my HTML output folder. Linking to story.html worked perfectly from there!
