I did get it to work for a couple of screens, but nothing consistent - it would always crash. Yes, the html 5 output is there. I just submitted a case.
Did you get an answer on this. I'm not having the exact issue you are having but my audio playback is hit and miss on iOS with HTML5. Some courses it plays others it does not.
Well, I did find out what was causing my phone to crash - turning it from portrait to landscape view (or vice versa) was what crashed it.
I have had issues in the past with audio and html 5, but for me the issue was if you have more than one audio or video track on a scene, then neither of them will play with html 5. For example, I had some light background music and a voice over. To get around that, I brought both audio files into an external audio editor and mixed them there, and output just one .mp3 file.
Well, I consider it partly resolved Peter. I don't think that turning the phone should crash the module, but I'm able to at least instruct users not to flip the phone while viewing it.
Well I wish it were that simple to troubleshoot. Users do not need to trigger audio in my HTML courses most/some of the time. It is hit and miss. One time I start the course and the audio plays. Next time it does not. I'm having a hard time nailing down the issue.
If you'd like, we'd be happy to take a closer look at it. Please submit a case, including your .story file, using this link so our support team can assist you further.

Hey Ryan!
That's weird. Which iOS are you running? Do you have a link you can share?
Hi Peter,
I'm running iOS 6.1 (I also had a co-worker test with a different iphone 4 with iOS 6.1 with the same results).
Here's a link:

Thanks, Ryan. I'm not having any luck with an iPhone 5 either, and I'm assuming you were sure to include the HTML5 output when publishing?
Are you able to open a ticket, including the project file, so we can take a closer look at what's going on?
Thanks!

Hope this helps!
Glad to hear you got it resolved, Ryan! Great news
And Jim, in addition to Ryan's advice, we're aware of several other issues affecting audio in HTML5 including the fact that media must be triggered by the user, rather than triggered automatically. You may also want to ensure that Mobile Safari's "Private Browsing" feature has been turned off.
