Hi Carleigh,

I'd be happy to try and help, but I'm afraid I'll need a little more information.

You're publishing for HTML5, but where are you viewing the course when the audio and screen recordings don't play? Are you viewing the published course locally, by any chance? If you view published Storyline content on your local hard drive or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive, you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail.

To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published. Please review the following article for details:
If uploading your course to a server doesn't help, can you tell me which web browser you're using (and if you've tried others) to view the course?
Thanks!

I published to a local drive. Then I burned all the content to a cd. I then opened the cd with fire fox because it wouldn't open the HTML5 format in explorer. ( yes I did burned the entire contents of the file into the CD). Because we need to give it to someone that doesn't have Articulate and does not have flash it's proving to be VERY difficult. And we have not been able to find resolution in the forums and we have no one to reach out to at Articulate. Additionally we like the screen recordings and cannot find out if the file format they are saved in is the problem. I tried re-recording to see if I could save as a different file format and was unable to do so. Since everything is packaged it hard to pull out the source file for the recording alone to use that in a different medium.

SOOOOO ANNOYED!!!

Hi Carleigh,

Ok.. I'm sorry, but I'm very confused now. Are you trying to use just the screen recording.. not an entire course? If that's the case, I'm afraid you won't be able to do this. You're correct, Storyline packages the files, so it's not possible to extract a single element, such as a screen recording/video.

How long are the screen recordings? Are they fairly short? If so, you could use Screenr for this. Just record the screen recordings, then download the MP4 file. Then you can use those video files in your project.

I'm still confused as to why you would want to do this. You can publish your course as HTML5 without trying to extract the recordings. The user won't need to use Flash. You could just upload and share the link to your course, unless you're trying to use another product to use the videos. Is that the case? Or do you want to have the user view this locally...?

I'm very new to Storyline 2.  I have created a 25 second video, uploaded the video into Storyline 2 and muted the sound.  I then created a 25 second audio for the video and set the media trigger for the audio to start and play with the video.  I do not get any audio sound to play during PREVIEW slide or scene.  I'm thinking this must be a quick / easy fix but I have not found anything yet.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
