We are new to Storyline and have a marker at the end of the course that says click here to see additional resources on our internal intranet site. I'm trying to set it up where when the user clicks on the text, that it goes to the intranet site. I set up the trigger to jump to the url when the user clicks (and link works while testing within trigger), however when it is published, nothing happens. Any ideas on how to get this to work? Thank you!
Are you testing the link with content published locally (on your harddrive)? If yes, then the link is likely blocked by your browser's security settings. Upload the content to some server and test again.
Thank you all for trying to help. I have published it both to my local drive and a shared drive that would be on a different server. The same result happens. The marker is there, but when I click on it, nothing happens. When clicked, it should jump to our internal intranet. When I check the trigger, everything seems to be set up correctly.
Hi Debbie, This is the same for me when i try to open the story HTML file from within the published folder, however when i create a record on our Internal Intranet Library and link to the story HTML file when the course opens the links work fine.
Do you have a similar place on your Intranet where this is going to be accessed from or is it just going to be sat in a folder on your shared drive?
You may want to look at the information here about publishing your files for testing. You will need to make sure you test in its intended environment for best results.
