I can't get a shape or text box with a transparent image fill displayed correctly in html5 output. The transparency of the image is not rendered in the output and therefore my text is hardly readable.
Since I have many of such boxes is there an easy solution to this problem?
Thanks for the thorough explanation and for sharing your file. I previously misunderstood what you were reporting. I'm going to share this with our QA Team to dive a bit deeper into as I am able to see and replicate the behavior you are reporting here.
Update - file and thread shared with the team. This was actually reported previously, so I still shared for user awareness and so that we can update here when applicable.
1 Year later, I'm still experiencing this issue too, I have input shapes with a pattern fill and set to very transparent, but on HTML output there is 0% transparency.. :(
Hi there, Jeremy. So we can do some testing, can you let me know some more detail about your setup?
It sounds like you're inserting shapes and using a pattern fill, setting the fill to be transparent. What is the percentage of transparency that you're using?
Also, you mention the HTML output. Can you let me know if you are seeing it in the Flash or the HTML5 output? In what browser are you viewing your output?

Hi Robert!
Do you have a file that we could take a look at? I did a quick test and I'm not seeing this behavior.

Be sure you are viewing the content in a supported environment as explained here.
Hi Leslie,
I keep seeing this behaviour, even in Chrome.
