Image Resolution when using zoom

Jan 07, 2016

Hi everyone,

Does anybody have any tips on image resolution when you are using the Zoom function? If I want to zoom in on a piece of equipment, what is the optimal resolution for the image? The image looks great, until the zoom. The image after the zoom is grainy and pixelated.

Thanks in advance.

The optimal resolution is the image with the smallest size that still looks good in at the maximum size that may show in your presentation. Pixels can always be remove from an image if they are not needed during display, but once they are removed, they cannot be added. I suggest your experiment with your images to get a good resolution on your maximum display size, and then use that. I prefer to have the resolution to be a bit higher than I actually need to look good so that the image remains good when displayed on a large display.
