in Safari when I refresh the page all of my sound stop?

May 03, 2013

When I refresh the page in IOS Safari all of my sound stop? First It brings up a pop up box that says start from where I left off. If I check yes or no. It stops all of my sounds from playing. Can I stop this pop up from showing up? The buttons still work. Just no sound. Then if I refresh three times it will take me to the initial play button screen and allow the sound to play again. Has anyone else seen anything like this?

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Bart!

If your iPad is running iOS version 6.1.2 or later, you may find that audio doesn't work when you resume HTML5 content in mobile Safari. (Click here to determine which version of iOS you have.)

This is a known issue. It'll be fixed in the next software update for Articulate Storyline. In the meantime, you can avoid this behavior by clearing your browser cache.

Here's how:

  1. Close your mobile Safari browser.
  2. On the Home screen, tap the Settings icon.
  3. Then tap Safari in the left navigation pane.
  4. And tap Clear Cookies and Data in the right details pane.
  5. When you're prompted to confirm, tap the Clear button.
  6. Then resume your Storyline course.

Thanks and welcome again, Bart!
