Storyline doesn't have a way to access outside information. Their might be a 2 ways to create this functionality. 1. Create a small website (web app) that has this function and embed it into storyline as a embedded web object. 2. Create a flash app with this functionality. I'm not sure if actionscript can query a mySQL database, but you can simulate it using and xml based database. Then import this into storyline.
