I have a slider interaction similar to the "wellness matters" one on this page https://www.articulate.com/products/storyline-whats-new.php and would love to have it animate for a few seconds to show users how the interaction works before allowing them to interact with it. Is this possible?
You could use an offstage object that is continously looped to change the slider's value and thereby moving it. Here is a quick example. I moved the otherwise offstage object into the slide (see the red rectangle in the upper left) so that you can see what initially drives the slider. After the slider has moved up/down a couple of times, I stop the looping animation and from then on you can manually move the slider. Here is a brief blogpost that describes the concept of using looping animations in Storyline.

Perfect! Thanks Michael. I had to fiddle to get the slider button to move around the central point but managed it with number variables.
@Jon: Good to hear that this approach worked for you. Good luck with your project!
Thanks for the update Jon - and I'm glad Michael was able to assist!
