I followed the directions for inserting a web object and it doesn't work after being published. The url works when tested. I have it opening up in a new browser window. Set it to open automatically. Browser controls are all and window size is default. I have IE 8. I work for a healthcare org. so my settings may be more restricted, but I am not sure. This process works fine with my Studio Pro 09.
Where are you hosting your published content? You'll want to test within the intended environment as testing locally could cause elements of your content, such as web objects, to fail or encounter security restrictions.
That is exactly what has happened. When we put the content in the testing environment the survey functioned appropriately. It would have been easier of course, to be able to preview it on my desktop, but it was a small stumbling block. Thanks for your response.
Thanks for the update, and I'm glad you were able to test once in your published output. If you're not ready to place in a "public" location, you could also look into testing in one of the environments described below:
Tempshare: This is a free service provided by Articulate for testing Storyline content. Note: Uploaded files will be deleted after 10 days.
Amazon S3: Amazon S3 offers free hosting with generous usage limits. If you go over your limit, you'll be charged a graduated fee.
Dropbox: Place your published output in the Public folder in your Dropbox account to share it with others.
Google Drive: Change the story.html file to index.html, and set the sharing permissions to Public. Here's how.
