iOS 15.0.2 causing problems

Oct 13, 2021

Hello Articulate staff

I'd like to report bugs for Articulate 360, which seem to be caused by iOS 15.0.2

Specifically our users are experiencing the following problems:

1. Objects' motion paths are repeated over and over again instead of just once

2. Objects' states change randomly and continuously

3. Videos are not played as expected

Please look into these issues and let me know when a fix will be available.

Hi, Martin.

Thank you for reaching out!

I'm happy to test this on my end, but I have a few questions:

  • How are the users accessing the content on the device: LMS through a browser or proprietary app? Review 360? Published for the web then accessed via browser?
  • Videos are not played as expected - can you clarify how they are not behaving as expected?
  • Is this happening with one course, or all courses viewed with a device using iOS 15.0.2?

@Marin: What I noticed so far is that iOS is trying to play the content with its native video player, so it would have tons of full-screen 0 second videos. Also courses that should not be allowed to be skipped are now controlled by the native player, and therefor the user has the ability to play it independently (which is messing our course progress).

We're going to try to disable iOS native player in the articulate course, if I manage to - I'll let you know

Let me know if you have any insights
