When you add a link through the Trigger wizard, is there a limit on the length of the link? I have a very, very long link that works when I paste it in a browser, but will not work from Storyline. It fails both the Check URL feature, and when it is published.
There isn't a max length for the URL in a "Jump to URL/File" trigger, so I wouldn't expect that to cause any problems. Can you share the URL with me? I'd like to give it a test. Thanks! 🙂

Depends on where it is hosted. It sounds like it is possible you are trying to access a location your browser has permission to, but SL doesn't.

The link is behind a firewall, so I'm unable to share it, but I played around with bitly, and created a short link that worked a treat.
