Is there a way to switch off 100% autoscaling in the Modern Player?

I've been trying to hang on with the Classic Player for as long as possible, because the Modern Player doesn't seem to allow you to switch of auto-scaling to 100% height of the browser window.
The problem with this is that you can't easily design a course that will look good on a very large monitor as well as a small laptop screen.
(I really don't want to have to make a course 'responsive' just to achieve this and create multiple designs for each slide).
Does anyone know if it's possible to switch off auto-scaling in the Modern Player? Our LMS has just started having issues with the Classic Player so it looks like I'm painted into a corner with this. Any tips appreciated.

Hi Luke,
Thanks for asking about this! The modern player is designed to always scale to the size of the user's browser. This feature can't be turned off. For more on that and other player features check out the article below.
Storyline 360: The Modern Player
it is possible to deactivate the scaling of the slides with modern player
result - no menu/buttons from the interface used

result - menu available

BUT: there are some problems
(workaround: set "Menu & Controls On" and deactivate all features individually)
nice would be a special extra mode:
Hi Jurgen,
Thanks for the tip! I appreciate you sharing how to change the scale of the Modern Player using built-in variables. Your insight is always appreciated!
Thanks for this.
100% autoscale that you can't switch off is a bad feature - nothing else that people see in a browser window online behaves that way.
Not an upgrade from the Classic Player - you should allow it to be switched off!
