Issue with drag and drop
May 22, 2018
I set up a drag and drop interaction using triggers and the concept works. Basically, I want one of the illustrations that I downloaded to start a media when it is dragged over another illustration. The only issue that I have when previewing this is the object they are dragging doesn't appear to move with the cursor, however, Storyline reads the interaction and triggers the media. I just want the object to show moving with the cursor when dragging rather than staying in the original location.

Can you share your .story file here so that someone can have a look at the trigger setup?
Here is the issue, the storyline starts by clicking on the egg.
The line motion paths are over-riding the mouse click. I think you are in a position where you can have the egg moving on its own, or moving with the mouse, but not both. :(
I was wondering if that was the case.
If after you return from the other layer, i turned off the movement, do you think that would allow it to work?
When I deleted the trigger that started the movement, it worked fine.
i noticed that too.
I tried to add in a static image of the egg to change state to normal when the PlayedOnce variable when to true and hide the moving egg at the same time. This didn't hide the moving egg, so the animation loop seems to trump all of the triggers.
