Issues publishing SL3 courses to Salesforce?

Jan 07, 2019

Has anyone experienced issues publishing SL3 courses to Salesforce? Our team is having issues with some of our courses when uploaded to Salesforce by our LMS admin. When you click to launch the course, the "Loading" wheel spins but the course never loads and we're left with a blank screen.

Another team in our organization also publishes SL courses to Salesforce without any issues. We've compared publishing settings and everything is identical, so we're at a loss on what the potential issue could be.

Has anyone run into this? Any recommendations to try?

Welcome to eLearning Heroes, Christina. Let's nail down the culprit together!

A few questions to start:

  • Do you notice any trends in the environment of the folks who see the loading wheel – is everyone on the same browser, OS?
  • Have you tried uploading one of the affected courses in another LMS environment? A great testing tool for this is SCORM Cloud, an industry-standard tool for testing SCORM output. How the project loads there tell us if the issue is related to your Storyline or LMS' output.

With your permission, I'm happy to help test your .story file and will delete it after troubleshooting. If you prefer to keep the project private, please share it with me via this upload link. Looking forward to helping!
